Session #1 (Section A) Introduction of Speaker Mary Darin, Dean, Human and Academic Development Division, Richland College Revitalizing Developmental Classrooms with Brain Friendly Strategies Janet Elder, Professor Emerita of Reading, Richland College Because brain-friendly strategies capitalize on the way the brain learns naturally, they make learning more efficient, engaging, and fun. (They also make teaching more effective and enjoyable!) This session features easily implemented brain-friendly strategies that pertain to the classroom environment, a sense of safety, humor, music, and movement. Discover strategies that can energize your developmental reading, writing, or math classes.
