On a national scale Latinos are the fastest growing segment of the population, and in the state of Texas the Hispanic population is projected to eclipse non-Hispanic whites as the largest race or ethnic group within the next decade. Latino males’ continue to be underrepresented in U.S. institutions of higher education participation and completion rates. An outcome of this project is to foster an environment that supports increased stakeholder engagement and the collaborative consciousness needed to cultivate a broader dialogue about the experiences of Latino males that is supported by empirical evidence.
